Kindergarten Pre-Registration opens on February 1 of each year for Wayland resident families that intend on enrolling their children in Wayland Kindergarten the following Fall. Pre-Registration assists the district in determining the appropriate number of classrooms, staffing and school bus transportation for our incoming Kindergarteners.

Use the link in your child's Kindergarten school assignment email or this PowerSchool Enrollment link (Spanish, Chinese) to register your child.

- Please visit our Transportation website, where you will find details related to bus fees, financial assistance, bus routes and stops.
- Registration is required for all students who intend on riding the bus and is based upon space availability. Once your child's school registration has been reviewed, you will receive an email from WPS Transportation Office with registration and payment links.
- Students in Grades K-6 (over 2 miles): Wayland Public Schools provides transportation for students living more than two miles from their school.
- Students in Grades K-6 (under 2 miles) and in Grades 7-12: If you live within two miles of the school, or are in grades 7-12, fee-based transportation is available as space permits.

Kindergarten General Information
There are two kindergarten enrollment options in Wayland:
* Full Day Kindergarten which runs from 7:55 a.m. - 2:25 p.m. with an early dismissal on Wednesdays at 1:15 p.m.
* Spanish Immersion, running the same schedule as the standard full-day option. The Spanish Immersion program is 90% Spanish, 10% English and has 3 Goals:
- Academic Achievement
- Bilingual and Biliterate
- Cultural Competence
Enrollment in this program is decided by a lottery, choosing from students whose parents attend a Spanish Immersion Program Meeting.

After School Care Options
BASE Program: Full Day Kindergarten, Spanish Immersion and Wayland students in grades K-5 may apply for enrollment in the BASE program which runs from dismissal of kindergarten to 4:30 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. All BASE programs are fee-based and are enrolled on a space-available basis. RecPass Program: Full Day Kindergarten, Spanish Immersion and Wayland students in grades K-5 may enroll in age-appropriate activities led by professionals with expertise in each subject matter. Program enrollment includes bus transportation from each elementary school to program location (Town Building): Recreation Department
