After School Programs (BASE)
The BASE Program
The BASE program operates in each elementary school for children in Grades K–5, and at The Children’s Way (TCW) for preschoolers ages 3–5 years.
Each site provides:
- A nutritious after-school snack
- Engaging, hands-on enrichment activities
- Indoor and outdoor free play opportunities
Elementary families can choose a schedule of 2–5 days per week, with pick-up options at 4:30 PM or 6:00 PM.
TCW families also select 2–5 days per week, with a standard pick-up time of 4:45 PM (except Wednesdays, which have a 2:45 PM pick-up due to the school’s half-day schedule).
Registration Info
For Current BASE Families
Current families can register for the following year during a two-week priority window at the beginning of April (March 30th to April 12, 2026).
If a current BASE student has a rising pre-school or kindergarten sibling (or siblings), they can be registered during this window – you do not need to fill out an interest form for siblings entering the program in pre-school or kindergarten.
Note: The registration link will be emailed to current families and available only during this period. Once the window closes, site, grade, and scheduling information will be reviewed to finalize enrollment.
For New Families with Children Entering Pre-School or Kindergarten
After the current-family registration period, available BASE slots for new families will be determined by a lottery based on the responses to our interest forms (see below).
If your family is new to the BASE program and you wish to enroll your pre-schooler(s) and/or kindergartner(s) into the after-school program, please fill out the appropriate interest form(s) below:
For New Families with Children Entering Grades 1-5
After the current-family registration period, available BASE slots for new families will be determined by a lottery based on the responses to our waitlist form (see below).
The waitlist must be completed by April 19th to be considered for the first round of the lottery. Additional rounds will be run as needed to fill all available slots. The waitlist will close by the end of June:
Photo/Image Opt-Out Form/Parent Handbook
As part of the BASE registration process, parents/guardians acknowledge the need to complete an "Opt-Out" form if they do not give BASE permission to use photos/images of their child(ren). The form is below and must be completed and returned to BASE only if BASE does not have permission to photograph the child.
