School & Community Hub 9/9/26

Wayland High School will host a patriotic halftime show on Friday, September 11, in observance of the 25th anniversary of 9/11. At halftime, our local Veterans, Police, Fire, and EMT personnel will take the field to present our nation's colors. We will honor these local heroes as well as reflect on this 25th anniversary. The WHS Band will perform a patriotic selection and echo taps. The football game starts at 5:00pm and the halftime show will take place at approximately 5:40pm at Wayland High School.

Thanks to our incredibly generous community, we've raised roughly 75% of our $33,000 goal for the mural on the wall of the Wayland Community Pool. We need your help to close the gap to bring this project across the finish line!

--Support the mural fundraiser at Yo Boca Taco on Wednesday, Sept 16th. 50% of the net proceeds from anything purchased between 2pm and 6:30pm that day will be donated to the mural project.

The 2026 Wayland Festival will be held on Saturday, October 3, at the Town Center at 10:00 a.m. There will be live music, food trucks, vendor booths, a beer garden, multicultural exhibits and marketplace, artists’ marketplace, touch-a-truck, activities for kids, and a roaming railroad. This event will be bigger and better than ever! See you there!
