Tonight is the Senior Show, one of the yearly traditions that makes Wayland High School such a special place. This student-written and directed variety show features skits, performances, and videos celebrating our seniors (and giving them a chance to poke some fun at us). I hope you’ll make the time to see them perform tonight at 7:30 p.m. or tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. in the WHS Auditorium.
Congratulations!
- Congratulations to sophomore Junyi Frenzel for taking 2nd place in the Massachusetts Region V Science and Engineering fair! Junyi will advance to the state competition on April 9th at the DCU Center in Worcester. She has been working on evaluating low-cost methods for sterilizing breast pump components in low-resource settings.
- Hats off to the company of To Parents and Other Neighbors, who was named a Semifinal winner last Saturday at the METG Drama Festival and will perform in the State Finals on March 27. The state-wide competitive festival began with approximately 100 high schools, and Wayland's one-act play will be one of only 15 presented at the John Hancock Hall in Boston! Tickets may be found linked here. If you haven’t caught it yet, there will be a free benefit performance next Tuesday, March 24, at 4:30 p.m.!
- Congratulations to the seven WHS students who qualified for and attended the DECA State Leadership Conference in Boston (Jeffrey Zhang, Anish Vishwanathan, Isaac Hanna, Mustafa Kheir, Tobi Kylberger, Brennan Smith, and Carlos Villatoro). Jeffery and Anish also qualified for the International DECA Conference, beating out hundreds of competitors in their marketing category.
