Wayland Community Action Network

WaylandCAN Fundraiser
Saturday, December 6 ~ 7 - 11 p.m.
Sandy Burr Country Club

The Wayland Community Action Network (WaylandCAN) invites you to join us on December 6 for a fundraiser at Sandy Burr. The High School Jazz band will lend their talents to the evening, and much of the proceeds from the evening will go towards a community sourced mural on the side of the town pool.

Every dollar raised supports WaylandCAN’s mission to build a Wayland where every voice matters. Funds will also help create a mural of hope at the Wayland Community Pool — transforming pain into art & unity.

You can also donate if you are unable to attend!

There will be live jazz music by the WHS Jazz Band along with a DJ and dancing. Cash bar and appetizers as well as a silent auction.

Super Wednesday - December 10

12:15 p.m. Dismissal

This is a reminder that there is a Super Wednesday scheduled for Wednesday, December 10 with a 12:15 dismissal.

A grab and go lunch will be provided.

CAPA Needs Volunteers!

For more than 50 years, the Creative Arts Parents Association (CAPA) has supported the Fine Arts Department at Wayland High School. Last year our fundraisers brought in over $20,000 in funds to strengthen the program. Right now, we are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help carry this important mission forward. CAPA has several key openings: Secretary, Treasurer, and Vice President. We are also in need of a Parent Liaison for the Band Department.

Volunteering for CAPA is a meaningful way to support our talented students and hard-working teachers while getting a front-row seat to the performances, exhibitions and creative work happening at WHS Fine Arts. Whether you have a little time or a lot, your contribution truly makes a difference. For more information on the rewarding work that we do, please come to our meetings held on the first Tuesday of each month in the WHS Library. See our website for more details: whsarts.org

WHS Late Night Fundraiser

Wreath Making Workshop to Celebrate the Season and Support WHS Late Night Post Prom

  • A farm-fresh wreath
  • Bows and seasonal decorations
  • Small group (max 15 participants)
  • $40 Donation to Late Night

What is Late Night?
Wayland High School Prom Late Night is a free, safe, and substance-free after-prom celebration fully funded by the Wayland community and local businesses. Organized and run entirely by parent volunteers, the event transforms the Wayland High School field house into a themed, immersive party scene featuring gathering spaces, mechanical bull, inflatable obstacle courses, gaming truck, and abundant food options generously donated by local restaurants and establishments.

Late Night is a Wayland tradition that gives students a memorable way to continue their prom festivities into the early morning hours, while offering families peace of mind knowing their teens are celebrating in a safe, supervised environment.
