FROM OUR COMMUNITY

Help With Food Insecurity

In Eastern Massachusetts, 1 in 5 children relies on SNAP, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. The November delay in SNAP benefits will drastically increase the need for food in our area.

If you, or someone you know, needs food, please find resources here:

Local food access:

If you opt to donate food, check with specific needs on pantry websites and donate directly to a local pantry.

grab-and-go breakfast bagels to those who need them. Simply drive up and you will be given a bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast bagel to get your day started. We will do this until program funding has been restored or until we run out of money. Weekdays we will serve from 7-8am, and weekends from 8-10am. Simply pull up to the ramp in the parking lot, a volunteer will greet you, run inside, and bring out your food.

And a reminder that all school children may get a free breakfast and lunch every school day.

Wayland Community Fund

WCF has been providing emergency financial assistance to Wayland residents since 1997 by providing quick funding for basic needs such as food, utilities, rent, medical bills, and other essential living expenses.

An independent nonprofit organization and entirely volunteer run, this fund relies on donations to keep up with community need, which we have seen increasing steadily.
Monetary and grocery gift card donations would be hugely appreciated! waylandcommunityfund@gmail.com.
